April 20, 2010 - Added RBL Anti-Spam Services
Dear Customer,
In an effort to aggressively control spam and to speed up the mail servers, we have added an additional service which will filter for infected computers and "bad" spamming computers.
This should make e-mail flow a lot better and reduce the amount of spam that you get.
However, if you have trouble sending e-mail please call us immediately so that we can resolve that problem.
Spam is a very large program on the Internet today and we appreciate your patience as we work to make our systems better.
If you have any questions, please call us at (905) 891-5789.
Sincerely,
Lawrence

Technical DetailsWe have installed an DNSBL (DNS-based black-hole list) on the server to reject messages at the SMTP level.
Currently, we are using the following services:
www.abuseat.orgwww.spamcop.netwww.barracudacentral.orgThese services keep a real-time list of "bad" IP addresses and they should cut down on spam considerably.
This includes, but isn't limited to:
- computers that are infected with a virus
- servers that spammers own and use to send out spam
- mail servers that are exploited by spammers to send out e-mail
